Cajun Pickled Eggs by David Triche

Cajun Pickled Eggs - Contributed by David Triche  




12 eggs

2 cups white vinegar

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons liquid crab boil (or more)

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or less) for hotness

2 teaspoons Beazell's Cajun Seasoning



Boil eggs and peel.

Add eggs to a jar/container that can be sealed. Add additional flavorings that you wish, like peppercorns, jalapeno slices, etc.  On stove, boil vinegar, water, crab boil, cayenne pepper and Beazell’s Cajun Seasoning for 10 minutes.  Fill container with liquid mixture to cover eggs completely. You will have some liquid left over.  Seal container and let set for at least 1 week before eating so that the flavors will absorb through the eggs.
