Mississippi Mud Pie

Mississippi Mud Pie  





1 cup all-purpose flour

1 stick butter

1 cup pecans, chopped




Bottom Layer -

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups cool whip

1 cup powdered sugar

Middle Layer -

1 package instant chocolate pudding mixed with 1 1/2 cups milk

Top Layer -

Remaining cool whip

Pecans and/or chocolate shavings



Crust -

Mix ingredients – press into 8 x 10 glass dish – bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool.

Bottom Layer -

Cream together the pie ingredients of cream cheese, cool whip and powdered sugar, spread over cooled crust.

Middle Layer –

1 package of instant chocolate pudding – mix with 1 1/2 cups milk. Pour over bottom layer.

Top Layer –

Spread remaining container of cool whip and sprinkle with chopped pecans and/or chocolate shavings.  Refrigerate for one hour.
