Quick Chili with Beans

Quick Chili with Beans – Contributed by Mrs. Beazell  




1-1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

1/2 teaspoon Beazell's Cajun Seasoning

1 small onion, diced

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

2 tablespoons cumin

1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes

1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, not drained

1 (14-ounce) can black beans, not drained

1/2 can water (use a sauce can)



In a large pot over medium high heat, brown ground beef with Beazell's Cajun Seasoning. Drain any accumulated grease. Add onions, garlic, chili powder, cumin, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans and water. Bring to a boil and lower heat to low. Stirring occasionally, cook for approximately 25 minutes until desired thickness. It will stick, so keep an eye on it. Adjust seasonings to your taste and serve warm. Mr. Beaz eats his chili over rice! You can eat this with cornbread, Fritos or saltines. And serve with cheddar cheese or sour cream!
