Cajun Crab Cakes

Cajun Crab Cakes  




1 tablespoon butter

2 tablespoons onions, minced

2 tablespoons celery, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 pound lump crab meat

1 egg, lightly beaten

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

3 teaspoons Beazell's Cajun Seasoning

Few shakes of hot sauce

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup vegetable oil



Sauté the onions, celery, and garlic in the butter until tender and transfer to a large mixing bowl.  Allow to cool slightly, and stir in the crab, egg, mayo, bread crumbs, thyme, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with Beazell's Cajun Seasoning and a few shakes of your favorite hot sauce. Shape into patties. Coat each patty with flour and a sprinkle of Beazell's Cajun Seasoning on the outside.

Heat the oil in a large heavy skillet and sauté the crab cakes for 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
